a)     Dated 2012 November 5 (Received 2012 November 8) A copy of correspondence from Mr. Andy Sharpe, Chair, Board of Health, Peterborough County-City Health Unit, to Ms. Kate Manson-Smith, Assistant Deputy Minister, Health Promotion Division, Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC), requesting that the MOHLTC provide funding to Health Units in order to purchase cessation products in order to help people achieve cessation. 

b)    Dated 2012 November 14 (Received 2012 November 14) Correspondence from Dr. Arlene King, Chief Medical Officer of Health, to Ms. Viola Poletes Montgomery, Chair, Board of Health, informing the Board that Dr. Bryna Warshawsky may serve in the role of Acting Medical Officer of Health/Chief Executive Officer until the end of the day March 28, 2013, unless an extension is applied for by February 15, 2013.

c)     Dated 2012 November 14 (Received 2012 November 16) Correspondence from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, Corporate Management Branch, advising that Mr. Ian Peer has been appointed to the Middlesex-London Board of Health for a period of one year, commencing on November 14, 2012.

d)    Dated 2012 November 21 (Received 2012 November 26) Correspondence from Ms. Cathy Saunders, City Clerk, City of London, to the Chair and Members of the Middlesex-London Board of Health, advising that Municipal Council resolved the following:

That, at the request of the Mayor, the December 1, 1997 resolution of Council requiring a citizen appointment to the Board of the Middlesex-London Health Unit BE RESCINDED and a member of London City Council BE APPOINTED to fill the impending vacancy on the Board of the Middlesex London Health Unit.

That Councillor S.E. White BE APPOINTED to fill the vacancy arising from the resignation of P. Coderre from the Board of Directors for the Middlesex-London Health Unit.”

h)     Dated 2012 November 22 (Received 2012 December 3) Correspondence from The Honourable Deb Matthews, Minister of Health and Long-Term Care to Ms. Viola Poletes Montgomery, Chair, Board of Health advising that the Ministry will provide up to $24,000 in one-time funding for the period of April 1, 2012 to March 31, 2015 to provide one additional practicum placement for a Public Health Inspector student.
