Roadmap to Reopen Ontario

London and Middlesex County are currently under Step Three of Ontario's Roadmap to Reopen. Please continue to follow public health guidance throughout the fall season.

A Plan to Safely Reopen Ontario and Manage COVID-19 for the Long-Term

On Friday, October 22, the Ontario Government released A Plan to Safely Reopen Ontario and Manage COVID-19 for the Long-Term. As part of this plan, Ontario will lift capacity limits in the vast majority of settings where proof of vaccination are required on Monday, October 25. Learn more →

Gathering Limits Still in Effect

Gather outdoors as much as possible.
If you’re gathering indoors, ensure everyone is fully vaccinated. Whether indoors or outdoors, please continue to keep your distance from others and wear a mask.

  • Outdoor social gatherings and organized public events (up to 100 people)
  • Indoor gatherings (up to 25 people)

General Advice

As Ontario safely and cautiously reopens, the Middlesex-London Health Unit strongly recommends that you:

Gather outdoors as much as possible; only gather indoors if absolutely necessary.

  • If indoors, adhere to the gathering limit of 25 people and ensure everyone indoors is fully vaccinated

For families with children born later than 2009 who are not yet eligible to be vaccinated:

  • Limit close indoor contacts to your household (stay two metres away from anyone who isn't part of your household)
  • Gather outdoors as much as possible
  • Wear a mask if you absolutely must be indoors with anyone who isn't part of your household

Wear a mask, especially indoors, where physical distancing cannot be maintained

Work from home if possible, and allow your employees to work from home if they can

Roadmap to Reopen

Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopen is a three-step plan to safely and cautiously reopen the province and gradually lift public health measures. The province will remain at each step for at least 21 days to evaluate any impacts on key public health and health system indicators. The plan is based on the provincewide vaccination rate and improvements in key public health and health care indicators. Learn more →
