Ontario Public Health Measures

Living with and Managing COVID-19

On Wednesday, March 9, the Ontario Government released its plan called Living with and Managing COVID-19 (PDF), which outlines the timeline for lifting remaining public health and workplace safety measures across Ontario. This includes the removal of the mandatory masking requirement for most settings on Monday, March 21, with the exception of select settings such as public transit, health care settings, long-term care homes and congregate care settings.

Recommendations from the Middlesex-London Health Unit

The current risk of COVID-19 transmission in Middlesex-London is very high. As COVID-19 cases increase and the virus continues to circulate, please follow the public health guidance below. It’s important to consider your risk for COVID-19 and to take steps to protect yourself.

  • Wear a mask.
  • Ensure you are up to date for all recommended doses of COVID-19 vaccine, including a booster for those 12+ and a second booster for those 60+
  • Stay at home if you feel unwell or develop any symptoms of COVID-19
  • Consider limiting social interactions, and keeping social circles smaller, until there is less virus circulating in the community.
