Child Abuse
We all share the responsibility to protect children from harm. If you suspect child abuse or neglect, you must report it to the Children’s Aid Society now at 519-455-9000.
There are 4 types of child abuse:
- Neglect
Neglect is when a caregiver or parent fails to meet a child’s basic needs.
- Physical abuse
Physical abuse is the use of any physical force toward a child.
- Emotional abuse
Emotional abuse is the use of any mental or emotional actions or words that harm, criticize, frighten, threaten, or coerce a child.
- Sexual abuse
Sexual abuse is any sexual act directed toward a child.

The Children’s Aid Society London & Middlesex provides services to children and families to ensure that all children thrive in a safe, stable and loving family.
