Birth Control Clinic - Strathroy
At the Birth Control Clinic in Strathroy, we offer low cost birth control, birth control counselling, emergency contraception, and Cervical Screening (formerly Pap tests/Pap smears) to individuals under 50 years of age. Appointments are required and you must bring a valid health card to each visit.

Waiting Room
- We ask that only the person requiring service enters the waiting room. *Special circumstances will be reviewed.
Birth Control pick-up times
- Thursdays 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Who we serve:
If you have a primary care provider (family doctor or nurse practitioner) please go see them for these services. However, if you do not have a primary care provider and are under 50, and/or fit into any of the following categories, we can see you in our clinic:
- People needing an emergency copper IUD or Plan B
- Indigenous peoples
- People experiencing homelessness
- People who use substances intravenously
- People who are new to Canada/speak a language other than English
- Sex workers
- Young people living in a group home or a youth justice facility
- LGBTQIA+ community members, and youth, not comfortable with own health care provider or with privacy concerns
- Pregnant people who would like to discuss pregnancy termination or pregnancy options counselling (we do not do pregnancy testing)
- People who have experienced previous sexual assault or sexual abuse (please seek care Sexual Assault St. Joeseph’s for services immediately after assault)
- Teens who are not comfortable seeing their HCP
