White Oaks Mall Vaccination Clinic to Continue Operating into June

Posted by on

The Middlesex-London Health Unit announced today that its COVID-19 vaccination clinic at White Oaks Mall will continue to operate through the month of June. The walk-in clinic at the south London mall has delivered more than 1,100 doses of vaccine since reopening on April 7th. In addition to providing first, second and third doses, the location has proven to be a popular choice for those who are eligible and seeking to receive their second booster, or fourth dose of vaccine. Before it resumed administering vaccine just over seven weeks ago, the clinic at White Oaks Mall delivered nearly 6,000 doses between September 14 and October 10, 2021.

The clinic will remain in the space it currently occupies, next to Tim Hortons, near the mall’s food court. The easiest way to access the location is through the mall’s east entrance, near RBC, facing Wellington Road. It will continue to be open Thursdays through Saturdays from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. until its final day of operations on Saturday, June 25th.

“We are grateful to White Oaks Mall for allowing us to continue delivering the COVID-19 vaccine in this space and allowing us to meet the needs of our community in an easy and convenient way,” says Dr. Alex Summers, Medical Officer of Health with the Middlesex-London Health Unit. “Even though we’ve seen a lot of people coming to get their fourth dose, we’re ready to welcome anyone who is eligible and who would like to get their first, second or third dose of vaccine.”

“Access to vaccines continues to be critical to our protection against COVID-19,” says Jeff Wilson, General Manager at White Oaks Mall. “We are grateful to be able to assist our community in this way.”

Operating COVID-19 vaccination clinics in area shopping malls, such as White Oaks, has allowed the Health Unit to not only reduce barriers to access, but also improve convenience for those who are seeking to be protected against COVID-19.
