You Can Help the Health Unit Rebuild its Website

Posted by on

London, ON – Browse, connect, share, watch, register, etc. - what would you like to find and do on the Middlesex-London Health Unit website? This is your opportunity to share ideas and feedback on how to rebuild one of Middlesex-London’s most important public health resources, www.healthunit.com.

The MLHU launched a survey today, and is also asking individuals to participate in upcoming research sessions to find out what information is most important and to understand how online visitors will use the website. Over the next four weeks, parents, students, teachers, business owners, health providers, and anyone with an interest in public health can provide input on what they would like to find and do on the new website.

“Understanding what our audiences want to find and do online is critical to this project,” says Alex Tyml, Online Communications Coordinator at the Middlesex London Health Unit. “By evaluating the needs of our audiences and identifying the common tasks online visitors would like to perform, we can significantly improve the design, structure and navigation of www.healthunit.com, an important resource for London and Middlesex County.”

Those interested in providing input on the new website can participate by clicking on the survey link at www.healthunit.com and/or participating in a group research session to be held in late-June, where food, beverages and prizes will be available!

To register for a group research session, contact Stephanie Johnson at (519) 936-6674 extension 104 or stephanie@resolutionim.com.

The Health Unit last updated its website in 2006 and will be working with London and Toronto-based web development firm Resolution Interactive Media (ResIM) to redevelop www.healthunit.com.
