GO-VAXX Bus Mobile Vaccine Clinic to Visit Seven Locations Across the Region

Posted by on

The Province of Ontario’s GO-VAXX bus mobile COVID-19 vaccination clinic will return to London and Middlesex County for several visits throughout the month of May, with its first stop coming this Thursday. The bus will visit the Lucan Biddulph Community Memorial Centre on May 5th, before making a stop at London’s Sherwood Forest Mall on Friday, May 6th. The bus has travelled to many Ontario communities, increasing opportunities for local residents to get their COVID-19 vaccinations and supporting residents who haven’t been able to access mass vaccination clinics.

The mobile bus clinic will provide first, second and booster doses to those who are eligible. The goal of the mobile clinic is to reach people who have not yet been vaccinated due to barriers, such as convenience and limited transportation options. The GO-VAXX bus has made a combined five visits to locations in the city’s Argyle and South London neighbourhoods earlier this year.

The GO VAXX bus mobile clinic will be at various Middlesex-London locations on the following dates:

  • Thursday, May 5, 2022, Lucan Biddulph Community Memorial Centre, 263 Main Street, Lucan, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Friday, May 6, 2022, Sherwood Forest Mall, 1225 Wonderland Road North, London, 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, May 11, 2022, Kiwanis Seniors’ Community Centre, 78 Riverside Drive, London, 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 14, 2022, Northland Mall, 1275 Highbury Ave N, London, 10:00am to 5:00pm
  • Friday, May 20, 2022, Westmount Shopping Mall, 785 Wonderland Road South, London, 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 21, 2022, Shops on Sydenham, 51 Front Street, Strathroy, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 28, 2022, Pond Mills Square, 1200 Commissioners Road East, London, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

While appointments have previously been required for the GO-VAXX Bus vaccination clinics, those who would like to receive the vaccine are now welcomed to attend on a walk-in basis.

Ontario’s Ministry of Health, in partnership with Metrolinx, has converted five GO Transit buses into mobile vaccination clinics, creating convenient options for people to receive their COVID-19 vaccine. The buses are a platform for fully operational mobile COVID-19 vaccine clinics, including all the supplies and staff to administer the vaccine safely. All COVID-19 public health safety precautions are followed on board the bus, including screening for symptoms before entering, wearing a mask when inside, and post-vaccination monitoring.
