Health Unit Ends Cold Weather Alert as Forecast Calls for Warmer Temperatures

Posted by on

London, ON – A return to more seasonal temperatures has led to the end of the year’s fifth Cold Weather Alert. The latest alert, issued by the Medical Officer of Health on Tuesday, February 25th and extended on Monday, March 3rd, has now been terminated. Current outdoor temperatures and those forecast by Environment Canada for the next few days are well above the -15 degree C threshold used by the Health Unit to issue a Cold Weather Alert.

The Middlesex-London Health Unit thanks all members of the Extreme Temperature Network and those agencies and facilities who observed the Cold Weather Alert for their diligence in providing service during this time.
