Breastfeeding Home Visits

The Middlesex London Health Unit offers home visits for families with infants under six weeks of age who are experiencing breastfeeding challenges.


NOTICE About Infectious Illnesses

Before staff from the Middlesex-London Health Unit visit your home, you will be asked if you are experiencing any Infectious Illness symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, etc. This will help us determine the next steps to support you.

If you're experiencing breastfeeding challenges and your newborn baby is 0-6 weeks old, call 519-663-5317 to see if a breastfeeding home visit is right for you.

Breastfeeding Support

You will meet one-on-one with a Public Health Nurse who has expertise and extra education in lactation support and breastfeeding knowledge.

Some women may experience challenges with breastfeeding. It's important to get early help. Research shows that early in-home, one-to-one breastfeeding support can help you achieve your breastfeeding goals.
