Did you know? Young children can drown in as little as 2.5 cm of water. Playgrounds can sometimes be located close to wading pools, splash pads or fountains. Make sure to follow these safety tips to keep your child safe from injury.

Safety Tips

  • Always supervise young children when in or around water
  • Teach children safety rules such as walking instead of running and sharing equipment with other children
  • Make sure they wear the appropriate footwear as the water can make the ground slippery and cause falls
