Teens and Sleep

Feeling tired all the time is a common complaint during adolescence.  During your teenage years, there may be several reasons why you often feel tired. It’s important to consider the reasons why you may not be getting enough sleep and some strategies for how you can get sleep to achieve optimal health.

Canadian Paediatric Society

The Canadian Paediatric Society (CPS) recommends that to be at your best, you should be aiming to get between 9 and 10 hours of sleep every day.

The CPS has evidence-based information on teens and sleep. You can find an article “Teens and sleep: Why you need it and how to get enough” on the CPS website Caring for Kids.
