One Life One You
We are the One Life One You youth group employed by the Middlesex-London Health Unit on the Chronic Disease Prevention and Tobacco Control Team. As Youth Leaders, we meet weekly to discuss youth-related health issues such as tobacco and other drug use, sun safety, mental health, stress and relationships. Of particular importance to our group is tobacco use prevention.
Our goal is to inform our peers about Tobacco Industry products, including cigarettes and chewing tobacco, as well as raise awareness about the Tobacco Industry’s manipulative marketing tactics to entice new customers.
During our weekly shifts, we work together to build health campaigns, plan events, and go out into our schools and community to deliver interactive presentations and activities. The One Life One You has been involved in a number of activities over the past few years – details can be found on our Events and Activities page.
