Breastfeeding Appointments

It's important to get breastfeeding support early. You may feel that you need extra support or reassurance that your newborn baby has a good latch and is getting enough milk. We’re here to help! Call Health Connection at 519-663-5317 ext. 2280 to find out if a breastfeeding appointment is right for you and your newborn baby. Appointments are free and available at multiple locations in the City of London and County of Middlesex with International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC) and Public Health Nurses with expertise in breastfeeding from the Middlesex-London Health Unit.

If you're driving to a breastfeeding appointment at  the Middlesex-London Health Unit's, 50 King Street, London, Ontario, location, please read the Health Unit's 50 King Street parking information.

Infant Growth/Development and Breastfeeding Drop-Ins

Infant Growth/Development and Breastfeeding Drop-ins are also available at various locations in Middlesex-London. Visit a drop-in location near you to speak with a Public Health Nurse about your infant (0-6 months old). Drop-ins are free and no appointment is required.

Questions and answers about the collection of your personal information

Q: Why does the Health Unit ask for your personal information?
A: The Healh Unit's Early Years Team asks for your personal information in order to better understand your questions or concerns and help answer questions about you and your child. We also may need to contact you about your care at a later date.

Q: What personal information does the Health Unit collect?
A: You will be asked to provide your name, address, and contact information. You will also be asked questions about you and your baby's physical and mental health.

Q: How does the Health Unit use the personal information it collects?
A: The Health Unit uses this information to provide Early Years services to you and your child including the Infant Growth/Development and Breastfeeding Drop-ins, Breastfeeding Appointments and the Health Connection phone line.  Answers are recorded on an electronic client record.  your information is kept secure and confidential.
