Instructions for Negative or Positive COVID-19 Test Results

Have you reviewed the instructions for negative or positive test results?

If your test result is positive, please follow the Ontario Government’s self-isolation requirements. If your test result is negative, please monitor yourself for symptoms and stay home if you’re not feeling well.

How do I get the results from my COVID-19 test?

If you were tested at London Health Sciences Centre COVID-19 Clinical Assessment Centre, your specimen is sent to the lab for processing and analysis. Once the result is available it is posted on the Ministry of Health's online portal. MLHU only receives copies of positive test results. Negative test results can take up to 4 days to be reported and they are first reported on the Ministry of Health's portal. MLHU cannot guarantee when your results will be available.


What should I do if my results are not available on the Ministry of Health's portal?

Results can take up to 4 days to be posted on the portal. 

If you are unable to access your results on the portal after 4 days AND you were tested at London Health Sciences Centre COVID-19 Clinical Assessment Centre you may contact MLHU at 519-663-5317 Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

If you were NOT tested at London Health Sciences Centre COVID-19 Clinical Assessment Centre, please DO NOT call MLHU as we will NOT have your results. You must contact the location where you were tested.

If you do not have a valid Ontario Health Card and/or do not have access to the internet AND you were tested at London Health Sciences Centre COVID-19 Clinical Assessment Centre, you may contact MLHU at 519-663-5317 Monday to Friday between 8:30a.m. and 4:30 p.m. for your test results once 4 days have passed since your test.


How do I get a copy of my test results?

Copies of results must be requested. To request a copy, call MLHU at 519-663-5317 Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.. There is no guarantee that MLHU will be able to send your result by a certain date. Please make other arrangements with the person/agency needing a paper copy. Verbal results will be provided if available.
