This Mainpro® C interactive workshop will provide participants with a deeper understanding of the impact of parental marijuana use on child developmental outcomes.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will become familiar with the latest research findings regarding the long-term and short-term effects of parental marijuana use on children
  • Participants will become familiar with substance abuse screening strategies that can be used universally during the preconception, prenatal and early years
  • Participants will become familiar with harm reduction strategies that can be used when dealing with marijuana users during the preconception, prenatal and early years periods
  • Participants will become familiar with local community services available to support people using marijuana during the preconception, prenatal and early years periods
